Oasis outward-opening walk-in bathtub is an accessible bathroom product specifically designed for certain groups of people. It is mainly suitable for the disabled, the elderly, the weak, and pregnant women who have difficulty moving around. Unlike the common four-sided closed tub, it eliminates the inconvenience of users having to lift their legs to get in and out of the tub and reduces the risk of slipping and falling due to the wet surface of the tub. One side of it is equipped with an outward-opening door. When taking a bath, the door is pulled open and the threshold is very low, allowing users to easily step into the tub with their feet. Then, the door is closed, forming a complete bathtub.

1 Space and Dimensions

Typically shorter in length than ordinary bathtubs, but with slightly higher bathtub walls, it has a tank twice as deep as ordinary bathtubs, allowing users to enjoy a deep bath. Some models are space-saving, occupying no more than 1 square meter, making them suitable for small bathrooms as well.

2 Internal Configuration

     1) Seat Design: Equipped with an integrated sitting and soaking seat, featuring a concave groove design to meet both showering and soaking needs. When users are weak or have difficulty moving, the seat can provide balance and support, and it also allows for private area cleaning without embarrassment.

     2) Water Inlet and Outlet System: Equipped with a high-flow water inlet and outlet function, featuring a high-flow faucet, a 50mm diameter drain hose, a high-flow faucet valve, and a high-flow drain pipe, which can reduce the waiting time for bathing. It also has a chain-driven pop-up drain, a manual rotating switch, a filter return valve, and an overflow valve with a rotating switch, which can control the drain to release water quickly and prevent foreign objects from blocking the rotating drain valve.

3 Safety Design

Door Design:  Oasis Bathtub, which weigh over 30 kilograms, are heavy-duty and durable, and will never deform. It adopts a single-sided 90° rotating inner door lock, which is simple and convenient to operate, saving effort and worry.

1 Design features

     1) Door design: an inward-opening door. This design avoids the inconvenience of traditional bathtubs where one needs to lift their legs to step in and out. Elderly people, pregnant women, or those with mobility issues can easily open the door, step into the bathtub, and then close the door to form a complete bathing space. 

     2) Low threshold: The threshold is very low, allowing users to step in with one foot. This further reduces the difficulty of entering and exiting the bathtub and enhances the convenience of use.

     3) Flexible space selection: There are two directions available for selection, allowing for free adjustment of the left and right door opening directions according to the space layout of the bathroom. 

2 Functional features

       1)Combination of shower and sitting bath: The bathtub is equipped with a sitting bath seat, which can meet both showering needs and sitting bath functions. When the user feels tired or has mobility issues, the seat can also provide balance and assistance. 

       2)Efficient water supply

 Large flow rate water supply: Equipped with a large-flow water inlet faucet and a 50MM diameter drainage pipe, the large-flow faucet inlet valve and large-flow drainage pipe can quickly fill the bathtub with water and empty it, reducing the waiting time for bathing. At the same time, the use of sealed thick-edge sealing technology and imported American material silicone strips for sealing ensures no leakage and a 10-year warranty.

      3)Massage function

Bubble and wave massage: Equipped with active oxygen bubbles. At home, one can also enjoy a SPA-like experience, relieving physical fatigue and bringing a comfortable soaking pleasure. And it uses a low-noise motor and is equipped with motor waterproof protection and installation bottom protection. However, before starting the massage function, the bathtub must be filled with water to avoid damaging the motor. 

3 Safety

Acrylic Bathtub

1  Material Characteristics

       Acrylic is a high-molecular synthetic material, featuring excellent transparency, impact resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and aging resistance. The acrylic sheets specifically used for sanitary ware have extremely high surface gloss and good wear resistance. Their wear resistance can even rival that of aluminum, being resistant to scratches and easy to clean. If there is a surface damage, it can be easily repaired with a polishing agent. 15 

2  Forming process

The commonly used forming method is vacuum forming. First, a vacuum forming mold is made based on the design drawings or samples. The molds are generally of two types: aluminum alloy and resin. The aluminum alloy molds are durable, have excellent processing performance and a smooth surface, but they are more expensive and have a longer processing cycle, which is suitable for producing stable products; the resin molds have lower costs and shorter production cycles, and are widely used when the market changes rapidly. The forming sheet is heated in the furnace of the vacuum forming machine. The acrylic sheet softens between 180 - 220°C. The softened sheet is pressed onto the mold and is stretched in the sealed mold by compressed air or vacuum suction, adhering to the mold wall. Then, it is hardened by the cooling fan and demolded. The formed blank material also needs to undergo resin coating and bonding treatment to enhance strength, followed by processes such as trimming, punching, and grinding, and finally installation of brackets and assembly of water components and electrical equipment. 

3  Product features

   1) Rich in Form: The design is flexible and diverse, allowing customization of colors according to user needs. There are various shapes available such as square, round, and oval, meeting different decoration styles and bathroom layout requirements 246.

   2）Walk-in Design: Convenient for entry and exit, it is safer and more convenient for the elderly, children, or those with limited mobility, as it does not require crossing the higher edge of the bathtub.
